OF GRACE AND GRATITUDE…
Sacred Heart Convent School, Sri Ganganagar, joyfully celebrated the Feast Day of our beloved Rev. Fr. Manager on the auspicious occasion of Saint George’s Day. The day began with a special assembly to honour and express heartfelt gratitude to our respected Fr. Manager. He was ceremoniously escorted to the stage by the school band, accompanied by Rev. Fr. Jobin and Rev. Sr. Principal, setting a tone of reverence and festivity.
The celebration commenced with a graceful prayer dance, followed by a soulful wishing song that reflected the spirit of the day. A highlight of the event was the joyous cake-cutting ceremony, where members of the management, staff, and student representatives gathered around Fr. Manager, symbolising unity and celebration. The School Choir’s melodious rendition of the wishing song added charm to the moment, beautifully harmonizing with the sweetness of the occasion.
Rev. Sr. Principal felicitated Fr. Manager, acknowledging his selfless service and dedication. Rev. Fr. Jobin, in his heartfelt address, eloquently emphasized the significance of the day and the vital role Fr. Manager plays in shaping the school’s vision and nurturing the students’ growth. He shared the inspiring African anecdote ‘Ubuntu’, highlighting Fr. Manager’s collaborative spirit and compassionate leadership.
The assembly featured a vibrant array of performances including speeches, poem recitations, a skit, and an energetic Bhangra, all reflecting the deep appreciation of the school community. Fr. Manager expressed his sincere gratitude, appreciating the effort put into the short yet meaningful celebration.
The festivities continued with a delightful staff programme that began with a prayer song and a captivating dance. Rev. Sr. Principal spoke warmly about Fr. Manager’s unwavering support and uplifting presence in the school community.
Thanks to Rev. Fr. Jobin’s thoughtful prompt, in which staff members were asked to joyfully share one-word tributes to their manager capturing his admirable qualities.
The joyful gathering included fun-filled games, a lively skit, and dance performances, creating an atmosphere of warmth and camaraderie.
Fr. Manager, deeply moved, thanked everyone for their affection, efforts, and thoughtful gestures. The celebration concluded with a scrumptious luncheon, marking a beautiful close to a day filled with gratitude, joy, and shared memories.
