Debate Competition – A Battle of Ideas and Perspectives

Sacred Heart Convent School, Sri Ganganagar organised an engaging Debate Competition for Classes IX to XII providing students with a vibrant platform to express their views, challenge ideas and speak with confidence.
The thought-provoking topics—“The Greatest Threat to Young People Today is Not Lack of Information, but Information Overload” and “Online Influencers are Better Role Models for Today’s Youth than Traditional Role Models”—sparked lively discussions and brought out diverse perspectives.

The opponents locked horns in a neck-to-neck fight of ideas, presenting sharp arguments, counter-arguments and compelling examples. Each participant defended their stance with confidence, wit and logical reasoning, making the competition a stimulating exchange of thoughts and opinions.

The event showcased the students’ eloquence, critical thinking, presence of mind and persuasive skills, while encouraging them to look beyond assumptions and form informed opinions.
The competition was truly a battle not of individuals, but of ideas, leaving the audience captivated and inspired.
